Greymouth to Shantytown - 11.6 km (7.2 miles)
The road from Greymouth to Shantytown is 11.6 km in length along the South Island's State Highway 6, and in normal conditions will take approximately 12 minutes to drive. Shantytown is set on 500 acres of native rainforest. The town and surrounding buildings consists of 30 shops and buildings to explore. Children are well catered for at Shantytown with flying fox (zip wire) playground, treasure hunts to complete, bush walks and of course The Beehive packed with delicious old fashioned lollies (sweets). | |||||||||
